Wake up America! The media wants to distract you with the legislation about Barbie's being banned but there is FAR more dangerous legislation entering into congress. HR 45 is a bill introduced by Illinois Congressman (coincidence?) Bobby Rush.

Sever the link between employment and health insurance. We've discussed this one a lot, but basically there's no reason an individual shouldn't be able to buy on the open market the same (or similar) policy that their employer buys for them.

Your comment regarding the billionaire shows just how shallow your thinking is. Do you need a stepladder to get out of your shoes at the end of the day?
Tim in CA said "if our self worth is all about our net worth we will surely be prisoners to it."
It is not the material things man (gender neutral) has but the character within that counts. One can give away millions to charities and not be charitable; i.e., doing it for show. While one can be penniless and yet have great charity; i.e., in his heart, giving of himself.
Look around you and study the current attitudes of our society. Our god has become money and our religion has become "Me-ism." "It's all about me!!!" Me, me, me, mine, mine, mine. I ask "what is your purpose in life?" and get the stare of a deer caught in the headlights of an automobile.

Having skimmed through the comments, I don't recall anyone saying that he may have been distraught because so many people that depended on him were going to loose their jobs and/or everything they had because of his wrecklesness. Of course, I could have missed it. In the end, it will be the Great Architect of the Universe that will be his judge. May God have mercy on his soul.
